Overview
WHM's Migration section of WHM's EasyApache 4 interface (Home >> Software >> EasyApache 4) displays your system's version of EasyApache. The EasyApache 4 Migration Tool allows you to migrate to and from EasyApache 3 (EA3) and EasyApache 4 (EA4). You can access the EasyApache 4 Migration Tool from the EA3 interface (Home >> Software >> EasyApache 3).
Important:
- We plan to deprecate EA3 in January 2018. To Migrate to EA4, click the EasyApache 4 Migration Tool link at the top of the interface.
- This section of the interface will not appear unless you select either the EDGE or CURRENT tier in WHM's Update Preferences interface (Home >> Server Configuration >> Update Preferences). If you wish to migrate from EA3 to EA4 and you select either the RELEASE or STABLE tiers, you must use the
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/migrate_ea3_to_ea4script.
Migrate from EA3 to EA4
To migrate your server from EA3 to EA4, perform the following steps:
- Click Migrate. A confirmation message will appear.
- To confirm that you wish to migrate, click Yes, run EasyApache 4 Migration. The system will start the EA4 migration and display the progress log.
- Click Done. You can also download the progress log for your records.
Revert from EA4 to EA3
To revert your system to EA3 from EA4, perform the following steps:
- Click Revert. A confirmation message will appear.
- To confirm that you wish to revert, click Yes, run EasyApache 4 Revert. The system will start the EA4 reversion and display the progress log.
- Click Done. You can also download the progress log for your records.
